Driving change

Low cost measures can often help businesses save a fortune on energy costs, whilst reducing global warming impacts. Tech Group Europe (based in Dublin) installed intelligent motor controllers on their injection moulding machines. This saved nearly 240,000 kWh of energy per year with an associated 175 tonne C02 reduction each year. They have also fitted lagging jackets to equipment to reduce heat loss, saving €34,000 per year in the process!
