Wexford Opera House is a modern, recently built building opened in 2008. It has two theatres with good back-of-house facilities, and administration offices including marketing and general offices. Front of house are a reception area and ticket sales, a café/bar on the third floor, a bar on second floor, toilet facilities for public, and conference rooms. Back of house includes stage areas, dressing rooms for performers, dancers, and orchestras, rehearsal rooms, showers, baths, and various utilities rooms.
Wexford Opera House is keen to reduce their environmental footprint and have already taken steps to improve, and is participating in the Green Hospitality Eco Label Award Scheme. Greenbusiness was able to suggest various further measures to consider, with large potential environmental and cost savings.
